The Atlanta 5th Ward Boys Association was formed in 2007 to serve boys in the Herndon Homes, English Avenue and Bluffs neighborhoods in downtown Atlanta. Their program blends the personal (and lasting) influence of mentoring with the discipline (and fun) of scouting. It is a caring and challenging combination that encourages moral values and personal responsibility. The mentoring program establishes adult friendships in the workplace and places the primary focus on education.
The GWCCA has established mentoring relationships with this group across our campus for 4 years now, giving the boys an inside look at the Georgia World Congress Center, the Georgia Dome and Centennial Olympic Park. This week staff members took the boys ice skating. Check out all the action!
