Georgia World Congress Center Authority

At the end of 2011, the Georgia World Congress Center and Georgia Dome joined the Better Building Challenge along with other commercial properties in Downtown Atlanta. The Atlanta Better Buildings Challenge is a partnership between the Mayor’s Office of Sustainability, Central Atlanta Progress (CAP) and other leading business and community organizations. The goal of the initiative is to make commercial buildings 20% more energy efficient by 2020. 

Leading the charge for our campus is Tim Trefzer, GWCCA Sustainability Coordinator. Tim recently spoke about the Better Building Challenge as well as our other sustainability initiatives on Atlanta Business Radio’s show Inside the Winner’s Circle.
