Centennial Olympic Park Names New Operations Manager

Gene Allen has been named the new operations manager for Centennial Olympic Park. As operations manager, Allen will be responsible for the overall maintenance, management and condition of the physical plant and upkeep of the facility to support customer activities and events that occur in the 21-acre green space.

“We are so pleased that Gene has agreed to join the Park team. His background brings outstanding experience to the position, and we look forward to his leadership as he manages and facilitates the Park day-to-day operations,” says Centennial Olympic Park Assistant General Manager Joe Skopitz.

Originally from Chicago, Allen worked in facilities, operations and maintenance management for 15 years before moving to Atlanta in 2010. He worked for CGL Facilities Management at the Georgia Institute of Technology Housing Department as the Chief Mechanical Supervisor and Assistant Facilities Manager, and as Facility Manager at the Clayton County Justice Center.
