Tomorrow, Saturday, March 31st, from 8:30 – 9:30 pm, the Georgia World Congress Center Authority campus will once again be participating in Earth Hour. This international effort of turning off non-essential lighting to raise energy conservation and environmental awareness has seen amazing participation in recent years, including Atlanta’s Bank of America Plaza, the Empire State Building, Willis (Sears) Tower in Chicago, and the Sydney Opera House, among many other famous landmarks, organizations and cities.
For this hour, our campus will be switching off non-essential lights around the drum wall at the Georgia Dome, on International Plaza at the Georgia World Congress Center and at the Fountain of Rings and Googie Burger at Centennial Olympic Park.
